Months Of The Year

There are twelve months in a year.

We use the preposition in with months of the year. In is used to talk about longer periods of time.

My family are visiting in January.

February

I am going to Spain in February.

My brother's birthday is in March.

We are going on holidays in April.

We always use an upper case letter for months of the year.

It is common to also see the abbreviation of months of the year. This is done by shortening the names to only the first three letters.
